President & Treasurer

Caroline is the main link to our projects on the ground in Tanzania. She has 14+ years experience living and working in Tanzania primarily in various roles at the Foundation for African Medicine & Education, a 501(c)3 which supports a nonprofit hospital in the same town as Black Rhino Academy. Caroline is passionate about high quality education after having the privilege of experiencing it herself by attending Rugby School in the UK, Tufts University in the US and SOAS at the University of London.

Secretary

Billy Dehn first became involved with Black Rhino as a volunteer in Tanzania. He stayed at Black Rhino for 3 months, helping in the classroom, playing sports with the boardings kids after school and reorganizing the library. Billy is a project manager and currently works in California in the renewable energy industry.

Charlene and Caroline have known each other since their college days at Tufts University where Charlene was getting a Bachelor degree in International Relations. Today Char makes a great board member for an education project like Black Rhino as she is a high school teacher in the Bay Area in California.

Elizabeth is a Professional Life Coach and Project Management Professional, with experience in nonprofit development, fundraising and event management. She was also a resident of Karatu, Tanzania from 2009 - 2014 where she met Caroline. She has seen Black Rhino Academy in Karatu grow during her annual visits to Karatu.
